Create a sacred rattle that is uniquely yours.

In this hands-on workshop, you will begin with a natural gourd and transform it into a personal ceremonial instrument. You will hollow the gourd and fill it with your chosen materials—such as rice, seeds, beans, or small objects like bottle caps—each combination creating a sound that is entirely your own.

You will then attach a handle, which you may decorate or leave simple and rustic. Paint your gourd, add feathers, and incorporate any imagery or meaningful objects that feel significant to you. If you have an image of inspiration or special items you'd like to include, you are welcome to bring them along.

Your imagination is your only limit.

This sacred rattle is created as a connection to the natural world: its body is the vessel, holding your intentions; its voice is formed by the materials inside, giving it a unique sound; its spine is represented by the handle, reflecting your own physical presence. As you assemble and decorate it, you are weaving intentions for yourself, your family, your friends, and the wider world.
