Entering the Dark
A Winter Solstice Gathering & Winter Journey Through the North
Sunday, October 25 · 10 AM–12 PM
Free family event
Come spend a little time on the farm this Halloween…
Decorate a pumpkin. Find your way through the grass maze. Follow the clues on a farm and nature scavenger hunt. Find a leaf and make a leaf print. Wander the property and see what you find.
Costumes are welcome, but not required.
There will be a covered tent where you can take a break, decorate pumpkins, make leaf prints, or warm up if the October morning is chilly.
And for the grown-ups… coffee, pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin spice muffins, caramel apples, and farmhouse-store treasures will be available.
Come for the kids. Stay for a coffee. Wander a little. See what finds you.
A Winter Solstice Gathering & Winter Journey Through the North

Winter Journey · January 3–March 14
Spring Equinox Celebration · Sunday, March 21 · 4–6 PM
Winter asks something different of us.
The days grow shorter. The natural world becomes quieter. We spend more time inside—sometimes by choice, sometimes because the weather gives us little alternative. It can be tempting to push through the darkness, fill the silence, and wait for spring.
But what if winter isn't something we need to get through?
What if the darkness gives us an opportunity to go inside, slow down, listen, and notice what becomes visible when we stop trying to illuminate everything?
Winter Solstice: Entering the Dark
We'll begin on the Winter Solstice with a two-hour in-person gathering to mark the turning of the season and prepare for our journey into the North.
Together we'll create space for stillness, reflection, and the willingness to enter the darkness—not as something to fear or fix, but as a place where something new may become visible.
Come for the Winter Solstice gathering on its own — $45
or continue with us through the winter.
The Winter Journey
Beginning Sunday, January 3, we'll gather every other Sunday from 3–4:30 PM, continuing our journey through the North and the darker months of winter.
Each gathering will offer a new practice, exploration, or question to carry with you into the weeks between meetings. The intention isn't to give you another list of things to accomplish. It's to invite you to experience winter differently—to make room for stillness, listening, reflection, warmth, connection, dreams, and seeing what may be difficult to see in the ordinary light of day.
The every-other-week journey gatherings will be offered in person or online, giving you the flexibility to participate in the way that works best for you.
Participation in the gatherings is strongly encouraged, as the journey unfolds from one meeting to the next, but you don't have to attend every gathering. Recordings will be available if life, weather, or circumstances keep you away. You may also choose to pause and continue your own winter practice between gatherings.
There will be no gathering on March 7 while I am in Scotland completing my shamanic practitioner training. The March 14 gathering will be online only, in case I have not yet returned.
Spring Equinox: Emerging from the Darkness
We'll conclude our winter journey on Sunday, March 21 · 4–6 PM with an in-person Spring Equinox celebration.
After spending the winter looking inward and learning to see in the dark, we'll gather to honor what we've noticed, what has shifted, and what may be beginning to emerge as the light returns.
Come for the Spring Equinox gathering on its own — $45
or include it as part of your Winter Journey.

The wheel turns. We don't have to force it.
In our 20-minute meeting, I’ll use shamanic divination to offer insight and guidance through natural objects such as stones, shells, and seeds. Through intuition, symbols, patterns, and energy, we connect to spirit and your own deeper inner wisdom.
Just as people can experience periods of disruption, loss, trauma, or transition, so too can the land.
Whether a property has experienced significant change, development, neglect, environmental disturbance, conflict, or simply feels unsettled, many people report sensing that something is "off." While the causes may not always be visible, the effects can often be felt.
Using the Celtic Spirit Wheel as a framework, Shamanic Land Healing seeks to restore relationship between people and place, honor what has occurred, and invite greater balance, harmony, and connection.
Each healing is unique, but typically includes:
Walking and listening to the land
Learning about the history and current use of the property
Assessing the property through the lens of the Celtic Spirit Wheel
Identifying areas that feel depleted, disrupted, or out of balance
Ceremony, offerings, and expressions of gratitude
Establishing or restoring the Spirit Wheel on the land
Guidance for ongoing stewardship and relationship-building practices
This work is not about "fixing" the land. Rather, it is about acknowledging the relationship between people and place and creating space for restoration and renewal.
A land healing may be helpful when:
Moving onto a new property
Beginning a farm, business, retreat center, or community space
Following construction, logging, or major landscape changes
After periods of neglect or abandonment
When the land feels unsettled or disconnected
To deepen connection with the natural world and the place you call home
2+ Hours
Most properties can be assessed and worked with in a single visit.
$175 for properties within 20 miles of Monroe, Maine.
Additional travel fees may apply for locations beyond 20 miles.
Participants will receive simple practices for maintaining connection with the land, including seasonal acknowledgments, gratitude offerings, observation practices, and ways to continue working with the Celtic Spirit Wheel independently.
The goal is not dependence on a practitioner, but the cultivation of an ongoing relationship between you and the land itself.
"When we care for the land, we often discover that it has been caring for us all along."
