What's New This Week at The River Runs Through
We're so glad to share a few new things unfolding here at the farm and coffee shop with you.
Online ordering is now available! You can place your order anytime—even when we're closed. Simply order online and pick up weekdays between 7–9 a.m. or during our weekend hours, 9–2 pm. It’s an easy way to have your coffee and baked goods ready when you arrive.
New pre-order bakery items! If you'd like a whole loaf or something sweet to share, please place your order at least two days in advance so we have time to bake it with care. You can now pre-order a whole loaf of our Banana Bread or Carrot Bread, a pan of Chocolate Chip Bars, or our rich Double-Layer Chocolate Cake. Everything is vegan, made with less added sugar, and gluten-free options are available upon request.
Summer has arrived gently, and with it comes the return of cold brew coffee—slow-steeped, smooth, and refreshing for warm days. We hope you’ll find a quiet spot, take your time with it, and enjoy the view across the field.
Meanwhile, Rob has been lovingly building what we're calling our Coffee Stand—our version of a farm stand. The vision is simple: a self-serve stop where you can grab freshly brewed hot coffee, cold brew coffee, and cold drinks. If there’s enough interest, we may also add some simple lunch options. If that idea speaks to you, we’d love for you to stop by and share your thoughts—this place is shaped as much by you as it is by us (and sometimes by Rob’s collection of very serious-looking measuring tools).
We’ve also been adding a few more signs around the property. It turns out signage is a bit like baking—if you leave something out, someone will absolutely find a creative way to interpret it. So mostly, we’re just trying to make sure you don’t miss anything important… or accidentally end up in the goat pasture when you were looking for coffee.
Summer also feels like a natural time to open things up creatively, so we’re offering creative arts workshops. These gatherings are simple, playful spaces to make something with your hands and enjoy being in community. No experience needed—just a willingness to explore, laugh a little, and maybe surprise yourself.
And finally, Mother Nature has been generously tending the land with her weekend rains. The gardens and fields are thriving because of it, even when the timing feels inconvenient for us (she does seem to schedule it right around peak coffee hours). We’re learning to welcome it all. Soon, we’ll add some shelter so you can stay dry while still taking in the view across the field. We’ll have a few blankets and pillows out as well, so you can settle in, get comfortable, and listen to the rain if it comes. There’s something quietly beautiful about it—especially when you’re not sprinting to your car.
We hope to see you soon. Whether you’re stopping in for coffee, picking up something fresh from the oven, joining a workshop, or simply sitting with the land for a while, we’re really glad you’re here with us.
